you look up 
at the night sky
express your love for 
the aurora
say that
it’s the only way
you feel
the atoms 
on fire in your 
veins

i will 
cut myself open, 
a cloud of stardust 
exploding
and releasing back into
the atmosphere
sparkling like 
a thousand lanterns
returning home
to the celestial
to be your aurora

you can find 
me at night
when you look above
see me shine
and express your love
for me
and feel your body
ablaze
